XBOX 360 Red Ring of Death – How Do I Avoid It?

If not, how do I avoid it?
How does it happen exactly?
I’m plotting to get an Elite, so will that affect anything?

the rings come up if something is incorrect with your harddrive. if u buy a new one it will not have it straight away. but if the rings apper contact xbox.com/setup and send in your xbox. this process will be free
I don’t reckon theres a way you can avoid it honestly. A few month’s back my Xbox got the Ring of Death, my Xbox wasn’t even a year ancient. I went to go play Gears of War one day and as soon as I turned on my Xbox I got a Error message and red rings. I called Xbox support and they gave me all infomation on what to do, the next day they had sent me a box to send my Xbox back to them, a couple of week’s later I recieved another Xbox and a free membership, I didn’t have to pay a thing
. Don’t let this stop you from buying a Xbox though, theres alot of problems that PS3 are having to, my friend really just sent his back. Excellent luck!

You could play less, as it’s due to heat but there is a chance it happens or doesnt, your covered by Microsoft for three years i reckon?
Get an Elite it’s such an upgrade, a large HD and HDMI built in, and they sorted the over heating problems waiting on delivery of mine. Twidling fingers XD
