What should i do-xbox 360 red ring of death.?

Author: adminMy brother’s xbox has the red ring of death. He just went to the store and bought a new xbox, but i reckon we can somehow send his ancient one in and get it fixed right? I want to have it if this is possible 
. So does anyone know where I would be sending this and how much it would cost? I don’t reckon the guarantee is still on this thing.

call microsoft, they have the number in the box that the xbox comes in. They’ll tell you what to do, and you can send it in. I had the 3 rings and they’re fixing it for free. i reckon the number is like 1-800-4my-xbox or something….
Microsoft has its own warranty (if you haven’t messed with the 360) just contact them and they will send you a box so you can send it to them and get it fixed.
It’s not fixable dude unless you had a warranty on that xbox. Most likely its dead and buying an elite rather then the regular arcade one is better. Since elites cool down better and don’t get the RROD often. Here’s your take care of xbox360 usage time. Max should be 3hours long of play time then let it cool down for 3hours and use it again. That’s how I keep my xbox360 alive and its the arcade one. Lasting for 6 or more months now.
Yes they will fix it for free if u have the 3 red rings.
Send it back to Microsoft but don’t plot to get it back soon. Mine took the red ring of death dive right before MW2 came out so I bought a PS3 since xbox is now at a 90% failure rate. I like xbox but they need to make better systems.
The standard warranty for an Xbox 360 is 1 year. But, if you have already had the RRoD, they extend your warranty by 3 years. If you’re out of warranty, you have to pay $100 to get it fixed. Register your console here to see if it is covered under warranty. If not, then you’ll have to pay for them to repair it.

Under the Sale of Goods Act 1972, if a product is sold with a manufacture defect, you are entitled to a groundbreaking new replacement up to 6 years after the date of buy.

Microsoft give a 3 year guarantee on this error, but they will only send you a reconditioned console. Some people have been sent reconditioned units that have failed, so they have had to send the replacement back. Takes weeks as well.
If you can get a new one from the shop, you get a better designed console and full 12 month standard warranty.
