If I buy a model, say, today, will it still have the Red Ring of Death problem???

If not, how do I avoid it?
How does it happen exactly?

I’m plotting to get an Elite, so will that affect anything?

        

Hi Guys, I recently got the red ring of death but was able to fix it with the “towel trick.” I am trying to get the red ring again but I am running into problems. Every time I try to “overheat” my 360, I keep getting the two red rings (which means my xbox is overheating). How can I prevent the 2 rings and get to the three red rings? Thanks folks.

Xbox Red Ring Of Death the day before Gears of War 2 came out Friend bought a reserved copy months earlier and was going to get it on midnight release, he plays gow one last time and it happened and I found out playing my system that night…late that night and seen it for myself the next day he made it work a few times by some towel trick he saw on youtube until he sent it in to get fixed…sad and worst timing because we all was waiting to play gow2
